About this site
Crocodile Island is a dive site off Aklan province in the Philippines, in the waters near Boracay and the Panay coastline, over a reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 22 metres. It's rated a beginner dive, though current runs strong and visibility is generally good, with timing around slack tide worth paying attention to since currents can run fierce outside of it, and visibility can drop after heavy rains push river runoff into the area. The reef holds frogfish, lionfish, nudibranchs, pipefish, seahorses, and sweetlips, and divers have also reported angelfish, bannerfish, barracuda, clownfish, eagle rays, fusiliers, ghost pipefish, grouper, octopus, pufferfish, scorpionfish, snapper, and trevally here.
