About this site
Anilao, on the Batangas coast of Luzon, is one of the Philippines' best known muck and macro diving regions, with numerous small sites scattered along the shorelines of Mabini and the nearby islands of Marikaban and Caban. Daryl Laut sits within this network of dive spots reached by short banca rides from the resorts around Anilao, where the Verde Island Passage funnels a rich range of marine life along sloping volcanic reefs. This wreck site reaches a maximum depth of about 16.2 metres, rated a beginner dive with good visibility. Divers have reported batfish and trevally moving around the wreck, along with several nudibranch species on the structure, including Anna's Chromodoris, Chamberlain's Nembrotha, Loch's Chromodoris, and Willan's Chromodoris.
