About this site

Decca Delle Colonne lies within the Maddalena Archipelago off the northeast coast of Sardinia, in the Isolotti dei Monaci area of Olbia-Tempio province. This stretch of the archipelago is characterized by granite islets and rocky seabeds typical of the strait between Sardinia and Corsica. Divers here have reported European spiny lobster along with a mix of gorgonians and other encrusting life, including Mediterranean red coral, pink sea fan, violescent sea-whip, yellow gorgonian, white gorgonian, and patches of Mediterranean zoanthid and yellow cluster anemone.
