About this site
Deep Reef sits along the coast near Heraklion, in the Dimos Maleviziou area of northern Crete, on the Aegean side of the island. This stretch of coastline is served by dive operators based around Heraklion, offering boat access to rocky reef terrain typical of the region. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 27 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported grouper and tuna around the reef.
