About this site
Den Osse is a dive site on the Grevelingenmeer, the large saltwater lake in Zeeland formed when the Grevelingendam sealed off the former estuary from the North Sea. It lies near Brouwershaven on Schouwen-Duiveland, in an area with several established shore entry points along the lake's edge. Divers here have reported common hermit crabs, edible crabs, European common cuttlefish, European green crabs, masked crabs, Pennant's swimming crabs, and south-claw hermit crabs among the life on the bottom.
