Devil's Grotto

Devil's Grotto sits just south of George Town on the west side of Grand Cayman, near Eden Rock, and is reached easily by shore entry. The site is known for a series of swim-through tunnels and caverns formed in the shallow reef, where light filters down through cracks in the rock overhead. Visibility here is typically great, and the reef bottom tops out at a maximum depth of around 12.2 metres, making it a beginner-rated dive. Silversides often school in dense clouds inside the caverns, drawing snorkelers and divers alike, and divers have also reported glassfish moving through the swim-throughs. Because of the overhead sections, some caution and buoyancy control are useful, but overall the site remains approachable for divers of most experience levels.
