About this site
Dilumacad Island, also known locally as Helicopter Island for its shape, sits off the coast of El Nido on Palawan in the northern Philippines, part of the limestone islands of the Bacuit archipelago reached by boat from El Nido town. The Dilumacad North site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported a mix of reef fish here, including black damsels, blacklip and eightband butterflyfish, blackpatch and titan triggerfish, Bleeker's parrotfish, Moorish idols, whitepatch damsels, and both ocellaris and tomato clownfish.
