About this site
Drop Off sits off Zakynthos Island in the Ionian Sea, on the west coast of Greece, and takes its name from the steep wall where the seabed falls away sharply from shallower rock and limestone terrain. Dive operations on the island typically run out of towns like Laganas or Alykes on the eastern side. Divers here have reported dusky spinefoot, European parrotfish, Indian lionfish, nimble spray crabs, ornate wrasse, painted comber and rivulated rabbitfish along the wall.
