Dynamite Drop-Off

Dynamite Drop-Off lies along the coast of Little Cayman, one of the three Cayman Islands in the western Caribbean, part of the Bloody Bay Wall system where the shallow reef shelf gives way to a sharp drop into deep water. Sites here are typically reached by a short boat ride from Blossom Village or the island's few resorts. This particular spot is rated a beginner dive with a maximum depth of around 17.7 metres, keeping divers on the accessible top of the wall before it falls away into the depths beyond. The shallows are built up from finger coral, greater star coral, lobed star coral, massive starlet coral, mountainous star coral and mustard hill coral, and divers have reported Atlantic blue tang, redband parrotfish and stoplight parrotfish moving over the reef.
