About this site
Egmont Key sits at the mouth of Tampa Bay off the west coast of Florida, near the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico. This bay-side reef site reaches a maximum depth of around 5 metres, making it a shallow dive by any measure. The island itself is known for old fort ruins and shoal waters shaped by the shipping channel that runs alongside it.
