About this site
El Grand Canon lies in the Caribbean Sea off Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, in the waters near the San Antonio cape region off western Cuba. The site sits along a stretch of coast known for steep drop-offs into deep water not far from shore. Divers here have reported Atlantic blue tang, redband and striped parrotfish, bluestriped and French grunts, and schoolmaster snapper moving over a reef structure that also holds blade fire coral and massive starlet coral.
