El Ñuro lies on Peru's northern coast in the Piura region, near Máncora and Los Órganos, along a stretch of the Pacific known for warmer waters compared to the rest of the Peruvian shoreline. Divers here have reported green sea turtles, longspined porcupinefish, painted ghost crabs, and Sally Lightfoot crabs around the rocky shore and shallows. It's a small fishing village setting, with the warm Humboldt-influenced current drawing in species not typically seen further south along the coast.
