About this site
El Tazar lies off the coast of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, an archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa formed by volcanic activity. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 27 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible to those early in their diving. As with much of this coastline, the site sits among the dark basalt formations typical of Fuerteventura's volcanic seabed.
