About this site
The Emergence du Ressel is a freshwater cave system in the Lot department of Occitanie, near Marcilhac-sur-Célé, where the underground flow resurfaces along the Célé river valley. It is one of the well-known cave diving sites in the Lot region, historically explored and developed by French cave divers over several decades. The system runs through a series of galleries with lines already in place for trained cave divers to follow. It is considered an advanced or technical dive, restricted to those with cave diving certification, due to the overhead environment and depth of the passages.
