About this site
Lying off Normandy's coast, this wreck rests in the English Channel. The Empire Broadsword, a WWII freighter, sank in 1944 and now sits at 30 meters. Strong currents bring excellent visibility, revealing intact structures encrusted with marine life. Lobsters and congers hide in the holds, while pollock and cod swim above. The deck guns and propeller remain visible, making it a fascinating dive for history and marine enthusiasts. Best explored at slack tide due to strong currents. Suitable for advanced divers.
