About this site
Greek cargo ship of about 80 m that ran aground at the Grau-de-Vendres in a storm on 18 January 1979 and broke in two; partly cut up by a demolition firm, her remains lie in 12 m about 1.5 nautical miles off the mouth of the Aude. The dive runs between 3 and 12 m over two large sections: the forward part is a heap of plate near the surface, the stern is recognisable by its two cargo masts which still break the surface. Holds are wide open; a little-frequented, clean wreck still in good condition.
