About this site
Escampo Barriou lies along the coastline near Hyeres in the Var department, on the French Riviera section of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. This stretch of the Mediterranean coast, close to the Giens peninsula and the Hyeres islands, is dotted with rocky points and small coves typically reached by boat from local harbours. The site is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 36 metres, and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported octopus along the wall here.
