About this site
Gaya Island sits in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park just off Kota Kinabalu on the northwest coast of Sabah, Borneo, and the Sinjataan area on its shore gives access to a stretch of coastal reef within the park, reached by short boat trips from the city. The Extension site here has divers reporting anemonefish such as Clark's and Ocellaris, along with spine-cheek clownfish, scissortail sergeants, moon wrasse, greenblotch parrotfish, eightband butterflyfish, blackspotted puffers, and zebra lionfish moving among the reef.
