About this site
The F H Beckwith lies off the coast of New Jersey, in the Atlantic waters south of the main shipping approaches to New York Harbor. Wreck sites in this stretch of the New Jersey shore are a common draw for divers working out of the state's coastal towns, often reached by charter boat given the distance offshore. The coordinates place it well out to sea, consistent with many of the region's historic shipwrecks lying in deeper water beyond sight of land.
