About this site
Fan Canyon is a reef site off Tulai Island, within the Tioman Marine Park on Peninsular Malaysia's east coast, a short boat ride from Tioman Island itself. The waters here are dotted with granite rock formations and reef patches typical of this part of the South China Sea. The site tops out at around 15 metres and is rated an intermediate dive over a reef bottom. Divers have also reported the occasional hammerhead shark passing through.
