About this site
Far Garden lies along the Sinai coast near Sharm El Sheikh, in the Red Sea waters off Egypt's southeastern peninsula, reached by boat from the Sharm el-Sheikh area over reef terrain typical of this stretch of the Gulf of Aqaba. It is an intermediate dive to around 25 metres, with medium current and generally great visibility. Eagle rays, manta rays, and whale sharks are found here, and divers have also reported angelfish, barracuda, batfish, glassfish, lionfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, snapper, and unicornfish on the reef. A cathedral-style overhang has also been noted at the site, worth approaching with care.
