The Farallons de Culip lie off Cap de Creus, near Cadaqués on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain, within the Cap de Creus natural park. This stretch of coastline is marked by rocky headlands and small islets dropping into the Mediterranean, an area protected for its marine habitat. Divers here have reported comber and Mediterranean rainbow wrasse moving along the rocky terrain, along with Mediterranean red coral and Saint Piran's hermit crab tucked into the crevices.
