Fernsteinsee and Samaranger See are a pair of small alpine lakes near the Fernpass, in the Tirol region of western Austria, close to the border with Bavaria. Sitting at altitude and fed by mountain runoff, they lie in a forested pass landscape between Nassereith and the German border.
