French Reef sits off Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, reached by boat from the island's coastal towns. It reaches a maximum depth of around 28.2 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers here have reported barracuda, jacks and amberjack, lobster, moray eels, octopus, and southern stingrays around the reef structure, along with reef fish such as Atlantic blue tang, Atlantic sergeant major, bluestriped grunt, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, and Caribbean ocean surgeonfish.
