About this site
Gaddu Kandu is a channel dive site in Gaafu Alif Atoll, one of the southern atolls of the Maldives, a region reached mainly by liveaboard rather than the more heavily touristed central atolls. The kandu system here connects the atoll's inner lagoon to the open ocean, a pattern typical of Maldivian channel sites, where tidal flow through the break draws pelagic visitors past the reef. Divers here have reported manta rays passing through the channel.
