About this site

Gamul Kebir lies among a cluster of small islands and reef systems off Safaga, in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt. Dive boats out of Safaga typically reach these offshore reefs on day trips into the surrounding open water. The site sits over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, dugong, eagle rays, and snapper around the reef.
