About this site
Garden of Eden sits off Mataking Island, a small island off the southeast coast of Sabah near Semporna, in a stretch of the Celebes Sea known for its reef diving. It lies within the same reef systems that draw divers to the Semporna area, not far from better known sites like Sipadan and Mabul. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers here have reported angelfish, nudibranchs, surgeonfish, and wrasse along the reef.
