About this site
Goat Island Marine Reserve sits off the coast of Leigh, a small settlement north of Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. Established in 1975 as New Zealand's first marine reserve, it lies in the Hauraki Gulf area and is a popular spot for snorkelling and diving trips run out of Leigh village, just across the channel from Goat Island itself.
