Gola di Ponte Brolla lies in Ticino, in southern Switzerland, where the Maggia river carves a narrow gorge near the village of Ponte Brolla, close to Locarno. It is a freshwater dive site set among the gorge's smooth rock pools and channels rather than a coastal or lake location, in an area more commonly associated with river canyoning and swimming than scuba diving.
