About this site
Gordon's Bay sits between Clovelly and Coogee on Sydney's eastern coastline in New South Wales, a short stretch south of Bondi. The bay is known locally for its underwater nature trail, a marked route along the rocky reef used by shore divers and snorkellers entering from the small beach. It's a shallow site, reaching a maximum depth of around 10 metres, rated beginner, with good visibility making it a popular training and leisure spot for Sydney-based divers given its easy shore access. Divers have reported octopus and seahorses along the reef, while entry from the rocks can be slippery, and divers have also noted rips, man o' war, and sharks in the area.
