Guindauahan Island lies within the Philippine archipelago, in an area typical of the shallow reef and island diving found throughout the central Visayas region. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 12 metres over a reef bottom and is considered suitable for beginners. Divers here have reported sightings of barracuda, grouper, mackerel, dugong, manta ray, and even whale shark, though these should be treated as occasional rather than guaranteed encounters.
