About this site
Højerup Kirke lies just offshore of Stevns Klint, the chalk cliff coastline on the eastern side of Zealand in Denmark, facing the Baltic Sea. The site takes its name from the old church of Højerup, part of which collapsed into the sea below the cliffs in 1928 due to erosion. The cliffs themselves are a well known geological formation, marking the boundary layer associated with the end of the Cretaceous period. The dive is rated beginner.
