About this site
Hahei Beach sits on the Coromandel Peninsula coast in Waikato, New Zealand, near the Cathedral Cove area and within reach of the Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve. Diving here is rated a beginner site, reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres. Divers have reported nudibranchs over the silty sand, along with numbfish tucked into the bottom, and boat traffic in the area is worth keeping in mind.
