About this site
Hakura Giri is a reef dive site within Meemu Atoll, one of the less frequently visited atolls in the central Maldives, sitting between Vaavu and Faafu atolls. Its reef edges are typically reached by boat from local guesthouses or liveaboards passing through the central atoll chain rather than from the more heavily touristed northern resorts. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported eagle rays, fusiliers, and grouper along the reef here.
