About this site
Madivaru sits at the edge of Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, where the reef gives way to open channel water facing the outer ocean. Sites in this part of the atoll are typically reached by dhoni or liveaboard from resorts and operators based within Lhaviyani. The point takes its name from occasional hammerhead sightings in the deeper water off the reef edge.
