About this site
This freshwater wreck site in Lake Michigan features a well-preserved wooden schooner resting at 60 feet. The intact structure offers easy penetration with large openings, surrounded by schools of perch and bass. Excellent visibility often exceeds 30 feet, with cold water temperatures requiring proper thermal protection. The shallow depth makes it accessible for most divers, with occasional thermoclines adding interest. Nearby sandy patches host freshwater sponges and crayfish.
