About this site
Hin Lak Ngam is a granite pinnacle dive site off Chumphon province on the Gulf of Thailand side of the country, reached by boat from Chumphon town or nearby piers within the Chumphon archipelago, an area also within reach of operators based around Ao Thung Makham and Koh Tao further south. The site tops out with a maximum depth of around 13.5 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, fusiliers, grouper, leopard and zebra sharks, pufferfish, sea turtles, snapper, stingrays, trevally, triggerfish, and even whale sharks around the pinnacle.
