About this site
Horseshoe Reef lies off the coast of Saint Michael parish on the southwestern side of Barbados, close to the capital area of Bridgetown. It sits in the calmer Caribbean-facing waters typical of this coast, which is generally more sheltered than the Atlantic side of the island. As a reef site in this stretch of the leeward coast, it forms part of the network of coral formations divers use as a base to explore the near-shore waters around Bridgetown.
