About this site
House Reef Taba sits on Egypt's Red Sea coast near Taba, at the northern end of the Sinai peninsula close to the border with Israel and Jordan. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it a beginner-friendly dive, with its shallow profile and proximity to shore suiting those building up early dive hours rather than divers seeking depth or challenge. Lionfish are a regular sight on the reef, and divers have also reported barracuda, clownfish, octopus, parrotfish, pufferfish, seahorses, and even hammerhead sharks passing through.
