Hulangu Nagu lies near Madhirivaadhoo in Baa Atoll, part of the Maldives archipelago in the central Indian Ocean. Baa Atoll is designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and its channels and reef edges are reached by dhoni or dive boat from the local islands and resorts scattered across the atoll. Divers here have also reported eagle rays passing along the reef.
