About this site
Il Grottone lies off Tavolara Island, off the northeastern coast of Sardinia in the province of Olbia-Tempio. The island's steep limestone cliffs continue underwater along this stretch, within a protected marine area, and the site takes the form of a large cave typical of the formations found around the island. It reaches a maximum depth of around 35 metres and is rated an advanced dive.
