About this site
The Sheadle left her rudder and a propeller blade here when she backed into a rocky reef. The vessel itself was recovered and sailed until scrapping in 1980. Nearby is the "Iron Man", a human-shaped water intake for a long-defunct charcoal plant. Lies in about 4.6 m; sank 1920.
