About this site
Jackson Reef sits at the northern end of the Strait of Tiran, at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, though this particular section, known as the Coral Garden and Lighthouse area, is generally associated with the Egyptian side of the strait near Sharm el-Sheikh rather than the Saudi coast proper. The site tops out at a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is considered a beginner dive, making it suitable for divers with limited experience.
