Jawfish Lair sits off Lankayan Island, a small coral island in the Sulu Sea off the northeast coast of Sabah, Borneo, within the Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area. The island is reached by boat from Sandakan and is known generally for its sandy slopes and muck-style diving conditions typical of this part of Malaysian Borneo.
