About this site
Long Caye sits on the western side of Lighthouse Reef Atoll, one of Belize's offshore atolls east of the mainland barrier reef, reached by boat from Belize City or from nearby dive lodges on the atoll itself. The reef structure around Long Caye is typical of the atoll's fringing walls and patch reefs facing the Caribbean Sea.
