About this site
Kabouri lies along the coast of Attica, the region of mainland Greece that includes Athens and its surrounding peninsulas, facing into the Aegean Sea. The coordinates place it near the southeastern reaches of Attica, an area dotted with small rocky coves and headlands popular with local dive operators. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported grouper and octopus around the reef, and abandoned fishing lines have also been noted at the site, so care around snagged line is worth keeping in mind.
