About this site
Kartalia lies along the Chalkidiki peninsula in Central Macedonia, on the Aegean coast of northern Greece, where the rocky shoreline drops off along the coast's three fingers. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 60 metres and is rated technical, putting most of it well beyond the range of typical recreational diving. Divers approaching Kartalia do so from the small coastal communities along the peninsula, using it as a deep site rather than a shallow reef dive.
