About this site

Koh Waeo is a small island off Phuket, in the Andaman Sea along the southern Thai coast, one of several granite outcrops scattered along that stretch of coastline and within easy reach of dive operators based on Phuket. The site sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported angelfish, batfish, clownfish, fusilier, snapper, and trevally around the reef, along with sightings of barracuda, lionfish, nudibranchs, nurse sharks, parrotfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, surgeonfish, and triggerfish.
