About this site
Kottey Outside sits off Hithadhoo, the main island of Seenu Atoll at the southern end of the Maldives archipelago. This atoll lies well south of the central Maldivian island groups, close to the equator, with its outer reef edges dropping away as a wall into open channel water. The site is rated an advanced dive, in keeping with the exposed outer-reef position and the currents typical of channel-facing walls in this part of the atoll.
