Kraken Freighter

Kraken Freighter sits in the Gulf of Mexico off the Texas coast, roughly in the waters offshore from Freeport, part of the artificial reef sites scattered across the state's outer continental shelf. The coordinates place it well offshore in the open Gulf rather than near any inshore jetty or bay system. The wreck reaches a maximum depth of around 43 metres and is rated an advanced dive, consistent with its position well out on the shelf where depth and distance from shore are the main factors divers have to plan around.
